Two longitudinal grooves running along the strip on the reverse side contribute to better ventilation. And if we talk about standards, then eurolining has a rigidly specified width/thickness and all the parameters of the groove/tenon and grooves. Just watch the depth of the groove and the geometry of the material: the edges are clear and even, the tenon easily fits into the groove without cracks or gaps.
