Sauna stove Russian Steam ChT-1
Russian Par ChT1 is, without exaggeration, the most reliable stove on the Russian market.
We created the stove based on Kalita TM and has a number of significant differences. The Russian steam ChT-1 differs not only in appearance, but also carries design innovations. The model features a classic and laconic design, characteristic of all premium products from the Magnum plant. Just like the President model, the Russian Steam stove ChT-1 enjoys well-deserved popularity and demand in the Russian market. The ergonomic and thoughtful shape allows it to be installed even in the most compact steam room, and the rounded edges of the stone cladding ensure safe operation. The cladding is made of natural stone, which, on the one hand, ensures environmental friendliness, and on the other hand, gives the stove a luxurious and respectable appearance.
Cast iron firebox ChT-1 - the secret of success!
The combustion unit of the Kalita model was taken as the basis. It was significantly improved by enlarging the glass and using high-quality heat-resistant cast iron in the design. Increased resistance to high temperatures is achieved through a special production technology in which cast iron is first annealed and then tempered. After such treatment, cast iron withstands extreme temperature loads, without which no steam room can do. You can lightly give the parka a little squeeze, or you can generously splash water from the ladle - the ChT-1 firebox will definitely not let you down! No wonder the manufacturer Magnum gives a three-year warranty on its product. Also, the new unit received a whole series of minor improvements to make the stove easier to use. The remote design of the firebox is the most preferable option for a bathhouse. Several problems are immediately solved: it is more comfortable to heat the stove, there is no dirt in the steam room, the stove does not burn oxygen in the steam room. Using a portal made of natural stone, you can turn a sauna stove into a full-fledged fireplace on the side of the relaxation room. Through the perfectly clean and transparent glass of the fireplace you can enjoy the wonderful play of flames on hot coals while relaxing after bath procedures. From a practical point of view, the glass door is also valuable, since it allows you to easily control the combustion process, and it remains transparent due to the use of special “clean glass” technology.
Russian Steam stove - an excellent climate in the steam room for many years
Have you ever been to a real Russian bathhouse? We have no doubt that you have repeatedly visited this temple of peace and purity. Agree, it’s so great to go into a steam room after hard work, sit on the shelves exuding the dizzying aroma of natural wood, fill a ladle with water with a drop of aromatic oil and splash it on the hot stones with all your might! The steam room is instantly filled with healing light steam, which is inhaled into the lungs, cleanses the pores and gives incomparable peace. It is the stones, heated to very high temperatures, that allow the water to turn into that very healing fine steam.
Well, if we take a little break from the romance of the bath and return to the technologies from the Magnum company, then it is worth especially noting the improved design of the box for stones of the Russian Steam ChT-1 stove, thanks to which from 120 to 180 kg of stones are placed there, depending on the laying method. The box has excellent characteristics in terms of strength and structural rigidity. It is able to withstand significant temperature changes that are inevitable when cold water hits its surface and evaporates explosively. You get the highest quality Russian steam combined with 100% reliability of the furnace unit.
Proper installation of a sauna stove is the most important stage in creating an ideal steam room. But the correct operation of this unit is no less important, since the full use of the furnace’s potential depends on it. To quickly warm up the steam room, you should open the cast-iron door at the top of the stove. A stream of hot air will immediately rush out from there and warm up the steam room in a matter of minutes. Once you are sure that the desired temperature level has been reached, the door can be closed. After this, soft heat will continue to flow slowly from the heated stone surface of the stove lining. With this approach, the walls of the steam room will never overheat, and you won’t have to cool them with cold water the old fashioned way. Stones placed in a special box of the Russian Steam ChT-1 stove are heated to a temperature of about 400 degrees, and in the lower part of the firebox this figure reaches 500 degrees. Water, falling on a hot surface, turns into superheated fine steam, which then condenses on all surfaces of the steam room, lowering their temperature to a comfortable one. The Russian Steam stove ChT-1 is one of the few on the Russian market that is capable of creating real “light steam” in your steam room. With our stove, being in the steam room will always be easy and comfortable.
We have already mentioned that the Russian Steam CHT-1 stove looks luxurious and respectable, thanks to the cladding made of different types of natural stone. It's time to talk about these species in more detail. 1. Soapstone chlorite. This mineral is a compound of talc, magnesite and chlorite. It has a grayish tint and a matte, silky sheen. The color of soapstone can vary from light gray to greenish or reddish. A distinctive feature of this mineral is its good thermal properties, allowing it to retain heat 5 times more efficiently than brick. That is, after heating the sauna for 4 hours, you can steam in it for another 2-3 hours, and the comfortable temperature in the room will remain throughout the day. Soapstone also has healing properties, normalizes blood pressure, tones, and improves metabolism. 2. Coil. This stone does not have such impressive thermal characteristics, but its appearance can satisfy the highest design requirements. It contains quartz, which, when heated, releases ozone, which in reasonable quantities is very beneficial for the human body (remember how easy and free it is to breathe outside after a thunderstorm, when the air is saturated with ozone). The coil has a pleasant gray-green or dark green color, and its surface is easy to polish. 3. Combined lining with these two types of minerals makes it possible to combine the unique thermal properties of soapstone with the aesthetic properties of the coil. The central cladding panels are made of soapstone, and a coil is used in the finishing elements.
The Russian Steam stove ChT-1 is the latest combination of traditions and the best bath technologies.
Among other things, the Russian Par ChT-1 wood-burning stove is easy to disassemble and assemble, convenient for transportation and installation.

Why choose Svarozhich brand stoves
Cast iron stoves “Firebird” and “Slavyanka” operate in Russian bath mode and withstand critical temperature loads. The formation of finely dispersed steam without overheating the room is possible by heating the cast iron heater to 600oC. It is worth mentioning the durability of the products. The strength potential of cast iron sauna stoves “Svarozhich” is enormous due to the use of modern, reliable and environmentally friendly materials in production. Designs from the “Slavyanka” line are guaranteed for 3 years, and for the “Firebird” series - 5 years.
Reviews
Consumers who have installed Slavyanka stoves from , in their reviews, talk about the rapid heating of a steam room of 15 cubic meters at an ambient temperature of +6 degrees. When the top of the screen is open, the room is too hot. A comfortable 60 degrees is achieved with half covered or stones placed. The only drawback noted in the reviews is that the door does not fit tightly, which maintains traction even when the dampers are closed. It is impossible to eliminate this nuance by adjusting the damper on the chimney, since the smoke penetrates into the room.
Assembling the combustion unit
The combustion unit is assembled quite simply; no special qualifications or tools are required. Having detailed color instructions makes the process even easier. Assembly requires two people.
The base of the unit is installed on a flat surface. Next, the side walls are installed on the base. While one person holds the side walls, the second person places the back wall. The side walls are placed with the protrusions up, the back - with the protrusions down. The side walls are inserted into the corresponding grooves on the back wall. After this, the front wall is installed. The grooves of the front wall are also fixed with the side walls.
A well has formed in the combustion unit, into which a grate needs to be installed. First the frame is placed inside, then the grate itself. Next, a container for stones is installed on the ledges in the walls. The container for stones rests against the front wall. This is important because smoke should flow along the back wall. Now all that remains is to install the upper part of the oven, the lid. The lid secures the entire structure, locking it into a lock.
Next, the tunnel is bolted to the combustion unit. Bolts are supplied complete. A pipe and an ash box are installed. Assembly is complete.
Models of cast iron stoves “Firebird”
Each individual model has its own distinctive characteristics that you should pay attention to when choosing a purchase:
- Economy Model for self-construction of a brick screen.
- Stone. The furnace is equipped with a special mesh filled with heating material.
- Luxury An oven with a closed top heater and adjustable convection.
- Classic. The heater is open at the top, convection is unregulated.
- Russian steam. The heater is closed at the top, the convection is adjustable.
Consumers leave the largest number of reviews for Svarozhich stoves of the Russian Steam, Lux and Combi modifications. Let's look at them in detail:
- "Russian Steam". The heater is cast iron, closed on top with a box made of stainless heat-resistant steel, with sheets 2 millimeters thick. This part has only two holes, so the stones are not cooled by convection. The degree of heating of the heater does not affect the movement of air inside the stove. As an additional option, a steam gun is available for supplying steam.
- Luxury The top of the stove is sloping back due to the higher front front wall, while this part is also the lid of the heater. It opens upward, which provides convenient access and makes it easier to fill with water. The heater is cast iron, heated from five sides, which promotes uniform heating.
- Combi. It differs only in the cladding, made from two types of natural bath stone.
Features of operation
The service life of a cast iron sauna stove directly depends on proper care of it. Installation of equipment should only be carried out in a dry room at a large distance from sources of moisture to avoid corrosion.
The protective coating of the oven requires appropriate care. Damage that appears on the surface is immediately eliminated, otherwise the equipment ceases to function.
Pellets, firewood, and peat briquettes can be used as fuel for Svarozhich cast iron stoves. A model with a special combustion chamber is purchased in case of using the latest types of raw materials, which supports the operation of the product over a long period of time.
It is prohibited to place large logs into the combustion chamber: the door should close easily, and there should be free space between the fuel and the wall. The service life of the stove and the temperature in the steam room depend on compliance with these criteria.
The size of the logs is taken into account when developing the stove design. The combustion chamber should not be too small, otherwise it becomes necessary to prepare small firewood, which is very inconvenient.
The lineup
produces two lines of cast iron sauna stoves of the same name: for steam rooms with a volume of 8-18 cubic meters - “Slavyanka”, for sauna structures with a volume of 15-35 cubic meters - “Firebird”. Each series is offered in four versions:
- Economy Only the central part of the stove - the firebox - is supplied. This option is ideal for those who prefer to lay out the structure themselves from brick or other materials.
- Standard. The firebox, made of cast iron, is covered with a stainless steel casing. An option for sauna lovers, since the steam room is heated by infrared radiation from the metal.
- Classic. For lining the cast iron firebox, natural stone 40 millimeters thick is used - coil, soapstone, or a combination of both. Infrared radiation is shielded by the cladding, which is pleasant both visually and tactilely. A model for those who prefer a dry air bath.
- Luxury The internal part of the structure, consisting of cast iron, is lined with natural stone - coil, soapstone or a combination of both - 40 or 50 millimeters thick. Unlike the standard version, in the luxury version of the stoves (“Svarozhich”) the firebox is completely lined with natural material, forming a closed heater. Model for creating a classic Russian bathhouse.
Operating principle of a stone-lined stove
The initial heating of the steam room is carried out by convection air flow. The stove is completely covered by the lining, with the exception of its lower part, where there is a small gap through which air enters. An outlet is provided in the upper compartment. In luxury series models this is the heater door, in the “Russian Steam” version - convection holes equipped with a plug. The air passing between the hot convection fins is dried and heated to maximum temperature, after which it rises and exits through the open door. The cooled steam falls to the floor and is sucked back into the oven. This mode of operation of the oven is called air convection.
The steam room warms up quickly thanks to the constant flow of dry and hot air. In constant convection mode, the humidity in the steam room will be zero, and the temperature will rise to 100-120 degrees. Thanks to this, you can achieve the conditions of a dry-air Finnish sauna. You can stop the convection of steam by closing special holes or doors to avoid overheating and excessive drying of the room. The closed heater heats up to maximum temperature and heats the stones, soft heat is radiated by the lining.
A “steam cake” under the ceiling with a temperature of 120-150 degrees is obtained by supplying water to a cast-iron firebox and hot stones. This comfortable mode corresponds to a Russian bath, which maintains a temperature of 60 degrees and comfortable humidity.
