5. After that, cut it into strips 3-4 cm wide and move on to the next step.

6. We need to make a fringe from the strips. To do this, we fold the painted strips in several layers and make frequent cuts, approximately 2/3 of the width.

7. Carefully open it so that the workpiece does not tear.

8. Next we need to take a piece of wire and fold it in half to make something like a hairpin.

9. We put it on the paper fringe and begin to wrap the wire in paper, gradually going down.

10. Let’s fluff it up a little and get a branch like this.

11. Having made several of these branches, you can collect larger branches by connecting them together.

12. Now we glue the cones with the resulting Christmas tree branches to the base of the wreath.

13. Decorate the finished wreath with beads and tie a ribbon.

Preparing materials

Step by step creative process

We encircle the workpiece with a satin ribbon, maintaining a certain distance.

We take the three largest cones, tie them with a rope and hang them in the center of the product. Decorate with satin ribbon bows. The wreath will look more interesting if the length of the rope for each cone is different.

Making a stylish New Year's wreath from the most affordable materials is not at all difficult. All you need is wire and burlap. And you can decorate it with pine cones, beads, tinsel or paper flowers. The children will be happy to help you.

To make this craft you will need:

technical burlap 1.5 meters long;
aluminum or galvanized wire with a diameter of 2–3 mm;
pine cones;
thin tape;
glue gun;
kraft paper;
New Year's decorations, beads.

1. To make a wreath, you can use regular industrial burlap, which is sold in hardware stores. To make it a soft creamy color, pour bleach into it and leave it for several hours. After bleaching, the burlap will become softer and acquire a pleasant light shade.
2. Cut the burlap into strips approximately 11 cm wide. Special precision is not required when cutting strips.
3. If necessary, iron the ribbons and roll them into rolls. You should get about 10 skeins.
4. Let's make the wreath frame. To do this, prepare 4 pieces of wire with lengths of 125 cm, 110 cm, 95 cm and 80 cm.

5. From each piece of wire you need to make a circle. Using pliers, bend the ends of the wire and make hook loops.
6. Form circles from the resulting blanks with your hands. If the wire is too thick, try straightening it with pliers. You should get 4 circles of different diameters.
7. Connect the wire circles. Using tape, secure each piece, trying to leave approximately equal distances between the circles.

8. Make transverse fastenings from adhesive tape on four sides. This will allow the frame to be securely fixed.
9. Let's start filling the wreath with burlap. Take the first skein and attach the end of the ribbon to the inner ring. Using a piece of wire, secure it near the crossbar made of tape.
10. Between the outer (largest) and inner (smallest) rings, three spaces have formed that need to be filled with tape. Carefully thread the burlap loops into these spaces. The first loop should be located in the lower opening, the second in the middle, and the third in the upper. Try to make loops of the same length.

11. Having made three loops, twist the skein of burlap several times. Move the loops closer to the jumper and make three more loops. Press them into the first loops. Continue making loops until the ribbon runs out.
12. Soon it will be necessary to continue weaving with ribbon from another skein. You can simply fix the end of the tape on the wire frame, as was done at the very beginning. You can also sew two pieces of ribbon together with a large needle using burlap thread. The seams will be completely invisible.
13. Continue weaving until the next crossbar. Try to press the burlap loops tightly against each other to make the wreath fluffy.

14. Once the wreath is completely woven, cut off the remaining burlap. Fix the edge of the tape on the back side of the frame.
15. Carefully straighten the loops so that they completely cover the wire frame. Trim any excess threads that spoil the look.
16. Let's start decorating the wreath. Small pine cones will look best. You can lightly bleach them in the same way as burlap.

17. Let the glue gun warm up. Place the pine cones evenly in the folds of the burlap. Apply a drop of glue to the pine cone and press it against the wreath for a couple of seconds.
18. The wreath can be decorated with a large New Year’s felt toy. Glue it to the bottom of the wreath.
19. Wrap the item with shiny golden beads.

20. Paper flowers can become an original decoration for a wreath. Cut out a small circle from kraft paper. Cut it into a spiral.

21. Start winding the ribbon from the outer edge, forming a rose. At the very end, apply a little glue at the bottom of the flower and fix it.
22. Place the roses in the folds of the burlap and secure with glue.

Basically, flowers and figures are made from felt, which are then attached to the base. But even the base itself can also be made from felt. This is how simple flowers are made.

1. Blanks are cut out of felt.

3. A beautiful bead is sewn inside each flower.

4. Now we distribute the flowers beautifully over the base, glue them to it, and add leaves of green felt. Of course, don't forget about the loop. We get such a beautiful and easy-to-make wreath.
