OilWax Bath Sauna. Oil with wax to protect wood in Steam, Bath and Sauna up to +120C

Antiseptic for baths and saunas with a special antimicrobial effect
on an acrylate basis

Purpose

Antiseptic Senezh Sauna is designed to protect wood inside baths and saunas from mold, staining and wood-destroying fungi, algae and wood-boring insects under conditions of intense cyclic moistening and exposure to high temperatures. For the first time on the market, thanks to its additional antimicrobial effect, Senezh Sauna destroys bacteria that cause infectious diseases in humans (E.coli, B.subtilis, B.cereus, etc.), characteristic of public places.

Application area

Antiseptic Senezh Sauna is used for interior work to treat new and previously treated with antiseptic walls, ceilings, benches (except shelves), doors, partitions, cladding and other planed, sawn or chopped wooden surfaces in rest rooms, locker rooms, steam rooms, washing rooms. It is allowed to treat floors, railings, terraces with Senezh Sauna antiseptic, followed by coating with abrasion-resistant varnish.

Impregnations for wood in contact with the ground

When building a wooden bathhouse, special attention is paid to the lower and upper crowns: they account for most of the moisture - with precipitation or through evaporation from the foundation or roof. The spread of fungal infections often begins with them. No less problematic are floor joists or beams, as well as subfloor boards. All these elements need special, thorough protection. Suitable impregnations and their properties are given below.

Impregnation Senezh

The antiseptic is suitable for treating wood that is in direct contact with soil, organic waste or is in prolonged contact with atmospheric moisture. This impregnation is used to treat logs, beams, lower and upper crowns of log houses, fences, cellar floors, pier pillars, wooden decking of terraces , etc.

Impregnation for wood "Senezh" can be used both under the subsequent application of a paint layer, and as an independent coating. It penetrates deep into the wood, where it forms three levels of bio-protection. Suppresses the development of fungi and repels insects.

Where and what antiseptics does Senezh recommend using?

Apply to previously untreated surfaces. There is no point in treating surfaces that were previously coated with drying oil, varnish or paint, or other water-repellent or film-forming compounds.

Please note that this antiseptic gives the wood a greenish tint. If you are going to then cover it with some kind of composition, then first try the combination on a piece of wood: not all products and not all colors cover the green. The protective properties of the composition are excellent, so the color can be tolerated.

Properties

  • The protection period after impregnation is 35-40 years.
  • Chemically binds to wood and is difficult to wash out.
  • Suitable for processing damp wood.
  • Does not affect the paintability and ability of wood to stick together.
  • Stops the beginning of the defeat.

Processing and storage

Apply to the prepared surface: clean from dust, bark, bast. The composition is not diluted (a concentrate can be supplied upon request). Spread over the surface with a roller, brush, or spray. Possible soaking or autoclaving.

Antiseptic Senezh - protection of wood that has direct contact with the soil

Work is carried out at temperatures above +5°C. Frozen wood is not processed. The composition does not mix with others.

When applied with a roller, brush or spray, two or three layers are required. Allow 20-40 minutes between coats. The consumption rate for this treatment is 250-300 g/m2 (3-4 m2/kg).

The logs are soaked until the consumption reaches the norm: 200-240 kg/m3. The specific amount of product depends on the conditions and required service life.

Work with covered skin and wearing gloves; in case of contact with skin, rinse with water. Stored in a closed container, it retains its properties after defrosting.

Reviews of Senezh impregnation

I consider Senezh to be the best inexpensive impregnation on the market. I covered various pieces of wood with it. They immediately take on an incomprehensible color, but they stand. Even the fence and the step, on which water is constantly dripping, there is also a rag on it, which is often wet. But the step that was there remains the same. It's been getting wet and dry for 5 years now.

Dmitry, Moscow

I have processed a lot of different things with Senezh. I impregnated the joists and floor with green protection. They've been standing for two years now with no signs of mold or mildew. The quality is quite good, read the instructions, if you do everything right, no problems.

Peter, Kazan

I used Senezh. Everything is fine. The treated boards lay all summer in the open air, wet with rain: nothing. Nearby there were unprocessed ones, so they were covered with greenery.

Antiseptic Impra

SENEZH IMPRA is suitable for impregnation of joists, beams, beams, decking and other structural elements in contact with the ground. This composition guarantees long-term protection of wood during prolonged and direct contact with the soil, including at high humidity. Treated wood is not subject to destruction for a long time and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

It is used for processing wood at industrial and domestic facilities where leaching of impregnation components is unacceptable, while at the same time high demands are placed on the environmental friendliness of protective agents.

Antiseptic Senezh Impra - for reliable protection of wood in difficult operating conditions - in contact with the ground at high humidity

Properties

  • Contains no arsenic or chlorine.
  • Wood after processing does not emit harmful substances.
  • When it comes into contact with metal parts, it does not cause corrosion.
  • Does not wash off.
  • Does not change the color of the wood.
  • Heating up to +60°C is allowed.
  • Does not affect the properties of wood (the same level of vapor permeability, as well as gluing and strength remains).

Processing and storage

An application method available to individuals is soaking. Before use, the composition is diluted with water. One part of antiseptic contains from 19 to 99 parts of water, depending on the required degree of treatment.

When applying, protect respiratory organs, eyes, hands. Avoid contact with skin and inside. In case of contact, rinse with water.

Product consumption during impregnation is 3.5-4.5 kg/m3 (undiluted product). After processing, the material is kept under a canopy for 3-5 days (protect from rain and sun).

Store in an airtight container for no more than 12 months. There may be precipitation of hardness salts, which do not affect the quality of the composition in any way.

Purpose of antiseptic for baths

An antiseptic is a special product designed to actively fight microorganisms, preventing decomposition processes. This is also evidenced by the origin of the term “antiseptic”: from the Greek “anti” - against, “septic” - purulent.

Considering that microorganisms have occupied almost all possible natural niches, antiseptics are used in many areas of human activity: medicine, the chemical industry (in particular in the production of household chemicals) and the food industry, as well as in construction to protect wooden materials and structures. Since a real bathhouse or sauna is unthinkable without wood, it is impossible to do without an antiseptic.

Antiseptic agents for treating baths are substances that will help solve several problems that will certainly arise during the operation of wooden premises and surfaces, such as:

  • Reproduction of various types of fungi (soil, house fungi, wood-destroying);
  • The emergence of areas of material rotting;
  • Infestation with harmful insects.

An antiseptic for a bathhouse inside and outside can make the material, that is, the wood from which it is built (or decorated), unattractive to the bacterial and fungal environment.
Coating with such a composition can bring additional “bonuses” in the form of fire resistance, which is especially important for steam rooms and furnace rooms, moisture resistance and a decorative effect, which is achieved due to the greater texture of the wood pattern or giving a certain shade. Ideally, 100% of the effect of applying an antiseptic can be expected during the initial processing of the material. If the tree is already damaged, such compositions will not be able to return it to its original state, but high-quality preparations are quite capable of stopping the processes.

Treating a bathhouse or sauna with antiseptics cannot be ignored. Otherwise, over time, it will not only lose its aesthetic appeal, but can also cause allergic and inflammatory processes in the respiratory tract.

Impregnations for interior work

To maintain an attractive appearance, wooden baths and saunas must be treated with protective impregnations. They not only maintain their visual appeal, but also prevent damage from fungi and insects.

It is only advisable to find impregnations that are not marketed for both interior and exterior use. It is clear that those elements that are sufficient indoors are clearly not enough to effectively protect the wood located outside. The intensity of the impact of various factors differs several times, if not tens of times.

If the composition protects well from the outside, then it contains a lot of chemicals, and the agents are clearly potent. So why oversaturate rooms with them, especially residential or humid ones, like baths. But these are thoughts, and whether you listen or not is up to you.

Antiseptic "Senezh Sauna"

This antiseptic is suitable for treating indoor wet areas, such as baths and saunas. You can process any wooden surfaces, with the exception of shelves in the steam room, washing room and rest room. It has the same effect on new and previously treated surfaces with antiseptics.

Almost all compositions can be applied with a brush or spray

The product penetrates the wood fibers to a great depth, forming protective barriers there. A thin, transparent, heat-resistant film is formed on the surface, which prevents water and dirt from penetrating into the wood. At the same time (as stated by the manufacturer) vapor permeability does not change.

Properties

  • Effective against mold, wood-destroying and staining (blue) fungi. Prevents damage from wood borers and algae.
  • Destroys some human pathogens (viruses).
  • No solvents.
  • Has no smell.
  • Repels water and prevents dirt from accumulating.
  • The wood retains its natural smell.
  • Does not interfere with vapor permeability (wood can breathe).
  • Can be applied to damp wood.
  • Easily distributed.

Senezh sauna - for treating rooms inside the bathhouse

Processing and storage

Senezh antiseptic for saunas and baths is applied with a brush or roller without dilution. The surface is pre-cleaned of dust, dirt and other coatings. In the steam room, a coating of one or two layers is required; in other rooms, treatment is required in 2-3 layers.

Pay special attention to the ends of the planks, boards, beams. Allow 45-60 minutes between coats; complete drying time when applied to dry wood is 1 hour.

Consumption per layer - 60-100 g/m2 (10-15 m2/kg), average consumption when applying 2 layers - 150 g/m2 (7 m2/kg). Specific numbers depend on the porosity of the wood and the degree of its processing.

When applying, avoid contact with skin; if contact occurs, rinse with water. Please note that Senezh Sauna impregnation cannot be frozen. Storage temperature is above 0°C.

Reviews Senezh Sauna

The outside of the frame was covered with Senezh BIO, everything inside - his own SAUNA, shelves and benches - with teak oil. So far nothing is rotting (2 years have passed).

Yuri, Samara

In the car wash, the logs were treated with BIO, the steam room was reclaimed - they didn’t cover it with anything. We have a linden tree there. BUT the ventilation was done correctly, at the end we heat the stove to dry it out. Five years already - no problems.

SENEZH AQUADECOR

When applying this impregnation simultaneously with protection against fungi, mold, and insects, we obtain decorative coloring of wood. Contains filters that protect against ultraviolet radiation.

Positioned as a product for interior and exterior use. Based on operating experience, we can say that the inside of Aquadecor retains the decorative properties of wood for several years without changes. When applied externally, for a lasting effect, a coating with abrasion-resistant varnish is required. That’s why we placed this antiseptic in the “for internal work” section.

Senezh Aquadecor colors are provided conditionally. The final color depends on the color of the wood, as well as the number of layers

Properties

  • Suitable for processing new and antiseptic-coated wood, plywood or other wood-based materials.
  • Simultaneously with the antibacterial treatment, the surface is colored.
  • The color lasts for a long time.
  • Solvent-free and odorless.
  • Designed for Russian conditions.

Processing and storage

Cover a clean, uncoated surface. Apply with a spray bottle, roller or brush. The composition applies easily and does not form streaks. For normal conditions it is necessary to cover with 1-2 layers (interior finishing). When operating in conditions of high humidity or in the sun, application of the composition 3 times is required. After applying the first layer, wait 45-60 minutes and proceed to the second application.

They work in dry, cloudy weather, at a temperature not lower than +5°C. The ends are treated especially carefully. The color intensity depends on the number of layers, and the final color will be visible only after complete drying (1 hour).

Consumption depends on the type of wood, but on average it takes from 60 to 100 g/m2 for one layer, and 150 g/m2 for double processing.

When applying, avoid contact with skin (work with gloves and preferably glasses). Even drops should be washed off immediately with water.

Store in hermetically sealed jars or canisters, do not freeze. Minimum storage temperature 0°C.

Reviews about Senezh Aquadecor

I honestly didn't like it. I covered the railings in August, but they started to get dark in October. Completely useless.

Vitaly, St. Petersburg

My gables are first coated with Ecobio in two layers, and then Aquadecor on top. On the south side I made 4 layers, on the north 2. They stood for three years, nowhere, nothing.

Ilya, Tver

Covered with BIO in May. This is a photo from August. It has already darkened and there are grayish spots here and there. A year later I treated it with Aquadecor Kaluzhnitsa (pre-cleaned it with a sander). This is what it looks like.

This Aquadecor color is called Kaluzhnitsa

Anatoly, Samara

First I used Ultra twice, and then Aquadecor Mahogany. The photo shows the result. Coated once. From experience: it dries quickly, you have to actively wave the brush. And try not to make stains - they smear badly.

Selection rules

When choosing an antiseptic for wood treatment, it is necessary to take into account a fairly large list of criteria.

  • Cost of antiseptic. It is not recommended to buy a cheap one, because the protective material must perform several tasks at once, and a good, expensive option can do this.
  • Where are protective measures carried out? That is, outside or inside the bathhouse. Therefore, carefully study what is written on the label.
  • Compound. The best option is if it is a combined option, because it can be used to both protect against pests and increase the fire-retardant properties of wood.
  • Manufacturer. Let's face it, it's an important factor. As always, it is better to give your preference to well-known brands. For example, the Finnish manufacturer of paints and varnishes Tikkurila or the domestic brand Senezh or Neomid.
  • Safety. Everything is clear here. Many experts recommend using water-based antiseptics for internal treatment of baths. When purchasing, be sure to ask for a quality certificate and a Sanitary and Epidemiological Expertise conclusion.

When deciding which antiseptic to choose for a bath, you need to take into account the amount of material used. This depends on the absorption of the material into the wood. The thing is that the antiseptic solution itself can be absorbed in small quantities, or the consumption may increase to the maximum. This primarily depends on the wood being processed. Eg:

  • Pine easily absorbs antiseptic, so its processing will require more protective material.
  • Linden, cedar, alder, aspen - have an average absorbency value.
  • Oak, larch, birch, fir, ash have a high density, so the antiseptic is absorbed into them with great difficulty.

So, taking into account all the above criteria, you can make the right choice of antiseptic for the bath. Now let's look at the main manufacturers.

For processing the ends of logs and beams

When drying timber and logs, due to different rates of change in humidity, the ends often burst. The cracks are deep and wide. This can be avoided if you impregnate them with a special composition that evens out the moisture content of the wood.

Senezh TOR

Senezh TOR impregnation is used to protect the ends of hardwood and softwood logs from cracking during drying. The ends of freshly prepared materials are coated with it. When applied, it slightly changes the color of the wood. They turn milky white (for easy tracking of treated logs). Then, after final drying, the frame is sanded and this film is removed.

The product penetrates into the deep layers of wood, protecting against damage by fungi and insects. At the same time, it forms a layer on the surface that repels water and normalizes the evaporation of excess moisture.

SenezhTOZ is used for processing the ends of the log house

Properties Senezh TOR

  • Reduces linear deformation during drying.
  • Prevents damage to wood.
  • Reduces the number and depth of cracks during drying.
  • Does not contain solvents.
  • Without smell.
  • Frost-resistant.
  • Does not contain components prohibited in the EU.

Processing and storage

Apply to a wood surface free of dust and dirt with a roller, brush, or spray gun. 2-3 times coverage is required. The interval between applying layers is 1-2 hours. Operate at temperatures above +5°C. If necessary, you can add water, but not more than 10% of the total mass.

The consumption of Senezh TOP depends on the type of wood: the lower the density, the better it absorbs. On average, you will need from 250 to 350 g/m2.

Store in a sealed container. Minimum storage temperature -20°C.

Fire retardants for roofing and interfloor slabs

Floors and roofing systems are one of the most problematic areas when ensuring fire safety of a bathhouse. Therefore, it is advisable not only to protect materials from fungus and water: it is very important to make them, if possible, non-flammable. For these purposes, Senezh has two compositions: Ognebio and Ognebio Prof.

Ognebio and Ognebio Prof

They differ in the degree of protective properties. For Senenezh Ognebio impregnation with the “Prof” additive it is higher. But the composition itself is pink, and the wood also takes on a rich pink color. Therefore, they only cover what is not visible. In open areas, where a constant color is needed, OGNEBIO is used.

Senezh OGNEBIO PROF has a pink color, OGNEBIO does not stain wood

The same compounds can be used to treat internal partitions, as well as, if necessary, lathing and finishing of premises.

Properties

First, about the general properties of both fire retardants:

  • Guarantees the biological safety of materials under the roof for 20 years.
  • The material becomes difficult to ignite.
  • One composition also provides bio-fire protection.
  • The texture is visible the same as before treatment, the vapor permeability of the wood remains unchanged.
  • Stops the processes of fungal infection that have already begun.
  • Without smell.

Now about what distinguishes them. Ognebio Prof can also make wood a low-flammable material (increased consumption from 600 g/m2). It also colors the surface pink. This is done so that you can control the uniformity of application.

Fire retardant-antiseptic Ognebio does not change the color of wood. It can be used on damp wood, and also has low corrosiveness (does not corrode fasteners upon contact).

This is what the treated surface of Senezh Ognebio Prof looks like

Processing and storage

First, the surfaces are cleaned of dust, old paints and coatings (can be applied to previously treated ones). Apply the composition with a roller, brush, or spray. Can be soaked, dipped or autoclaved.

When applied manually, 2-3 applications are required with an interval of 20-40 minutes. When soaking, keep it in the composition until the consumption reaches the recommended values.

For treatment in the first fire safety category (low-flammability and low-flammability), a consumption of Ognebio Prof is required at least 600 g/m2, for the second group (low-flammability) - 300 g/m2. Ognebio treatment also provides category II safety. In this case, it is necessary to apply 600 g/m2. Simply bioprotection (without flame retardant effect) will be at a consumption of 300 g/m2.

The compositions can be frozen. After thawing, their properties remain unchanged (stir before use).
