In almost all industries there are conditions for opening ventures that can bring in a solid, stable income.

The prospects of business ideas can be judged by the preferences of investors.

These sources of third-party funds are interested in projects that, to varying degrees, affect the heavy, mining, oil, automotive, catering, recreation and tourism industries.

In all cities of our country there are establishments that perform the functions of saunas and baths.

Among them, a large share belongs to state institutions.

The quality of services and the material resources of the latter, as a rule, are inferior to those of private baths.

This confirms the prospects of the private bathhouse business project.

About a warm corner in the bathhouse

So, this was about 10 years ago. Our neighbors had a bathhouse and we were often invited to take a steam bath. Everything about it seemed great, but it cooled down somehow quickly.

You heat and heat, but the heat doesn’t last long. So I asked my uncle why this happened. To which he always answered with annoyance that the bathhouse was built without a warm corner.

So then I asked myself the question, where should this warm corner in the bathhouse be? And everyone I didn’t ask just laughed at me. This corner was literally enchanted, no one showed where it was...

And only when our website appeared and the first responsive readers appeared, I finally learned that a warm corner is not a specific place. This is a strong connection of the corners of the beam into a lock.

Grooves are made in the corners of the timber, which are perfectly cut and adjusted to each other. The result is a locking connection, which gives a 100% guarantee that the corners of the bathhouse will not be blown through and freeze in winter.

Russian bath

Currently, the popularity of the Russian bath is very great. All around we see signs and advertisements “Russian wood-fired baths.” There are many sites on the Internet with advice on how to build a Russian bathhouse and how to steam in it. An abundance of stoves for such a bath is offered en masse. A large number of construction teams promise to build us a real Russian bathhouse. And in the minds of bathhouse lovers, the dogma is clearly ingrained that in a Russian bathhouse the temperature is always about +100C or higher, and the higher it is, the better the bathhouse. In the steam room you need to be whipped as hard as possible with a broom and steadfastly endure the insanely high temperature. I myself used to have the same opinion, but I remodeled my bathhouse in time. I talked about how it was in my original article “Converting a turnkey bathhouse into a bathhouse according to the mind”

It’s sad to see all this around and realize that most bathhouse lovers have no idea what a real Russian bathhouse is. A monstrously perverted and absolutely incorrect idea of the Russian bathhouse is deeply ingrained in the minds of our fellow citizens! And in numerous bathhouse establishments, under the sign “Real Russian Bathhouse”, in most cases, there is hidden a bathhouse that is far from healthy, which, having taken on ugly forms, has degenerated from a Russian Bathhouse into something incomprehensible and certainly not related to a real Russian Bathhouse. Therefore, I began to test commercial baths, the advertisements of which indicate that these are real Russian baths. Test results in the “Testing baths” section

Numerous sites on the Internet, supposedly dedicated to the Russian bathhouse, are essentially a copy of other similarly illiterate Internet resources about bathhouses. Their authors, from the pages of their creations, give us advice, hiding behind the term Russian bath, although they absolutely do not understand what it is and have no knowledge in this matter. On the pages of such sites, “experts” teach us how to build a supposedly “Real Russian Bathhouse”, which they themselves have never been to, and they gain all their knowledge about it by copying the same meaningless information from the pages of other equally dubious sites.

A large number of construction teams everywhere quickly build standard bathhouses “like your neighbor’s”, proudly calling them “Russian bathhouse”. But without mastering the technology of building a real Russian bathhouse, without having the knowledge of what it is and how to do it, they do not always sculpt high-quality wooden boxes according to the same principles as they build sheds, garages, and country houses. These baths look beautiful, but are functionally absolutely stupid. Not the builders, not the new owners of these baths, do not even imagine that their new bath has nothing to do with the Russian bath. And bathhouse stoves, which are massively sold and installed in such buildings, are absolutely not suitable for creating unique Russian bathhouse regimes. They are simply not able to heat the stones to produce that light steam for which they value a real Russian bathhouse.

But fortunately, real Russian baths have not yet been completely forgotten, having been supplanted by mass standard perverted supposedly “Russian baths”. There are also a few resources on the Internet that tell you about real proper bathhouses, teach you how to build them, and give advice on selecting stoves. There are also specialists in the construction and operation of Russian baths, but, unfortunately, there are very few of them. Some few manufacturers of bath stoves have begun to produce stoves that are suitable for Russian baths.

So what is a real Russian bathhouse? This will seem at least strange to many readers, but the temperature in the steam room of such a bath lies in the range of +45- +60C. Humidity 50-70%. It is at such temperatures and humidity levels that the entire body warms up deeply. The steam room in the Russian bath should be spacious, with high ceilings (at least 2.4-2.6 m). The walls of the steam room are lined not with thin clapboard, but with a massive wooden board. The timber or log walls of the Russian bathhouse do not require additional insulation or any upholstery at all. The shelves (shelves) in such a bathhouse are made of massive, thick boards. Since people do not sit in the Russian bath, but lie down, the correct shelves are made as wide as possible and usually in one tier. The steam room must have a window through which ventilation is carried out. The floors in the Russian bath should not rot, so they must be done correctly. This is what my article “Correct floors in the Russian bathhouse” is about.

The main attribute of a proper Russian bath is the stove. The stove for such a bath should not be a simple (mass) one, but intended specifically for a Russian bath. Only such stoves are capable of producing invisible, soft and velvety light steam. To obtain such steam, it is necessary to heat the stones to a temperature above +350C. A sauna stove only with a closed heater can heat stones to this temperature. That is, the stone laying lies in a space isolated from the atmosphere of the steam room. A classic for Russian baths is a massive brick stove with direct heating of stones. This is when there are no partitions between the flame and the stones, and it licks the stones from all sides, heating them to a crimson glow.

There are also metal stoves with a closed heater that can heat the stones to light steam temperatures. Such stoves are usually lined with brick or stone. This is necessary to isolate the hot furnace walls from the steam room atmosphere. If this is not done, then the temperature in the steam room will inevitably rise and spoil the entire microclimate of the Russian bath. Such stoves are difficult to buy in stores. They are not of interest to sellers, since real Russian baths are practically never built. It is much easier for manufacturers to stick a label on a sauna stove with the words “For a Russian sauna” and quickly sell it, although it is not suitable for a proper Russian sauna. You can buy the right stove for a Russian bath directly from manufacturers or their representatives. To figure out which stove you should buy for the right bath, I recommend reading my article about stoves for the Russian bath. You can read how to heat it in the article “How to properly heat a metal sauna stove.”

To buy a sauna stove intended for a Russian bath, you need to distinguish them from mass-produced stoves that are sold everywhere and advertised by sellers and manufacturers as stoves for supposedly “Russian baths.” Incorrect heater stoves are metal stoves with an open heater (stones are placed on top and are not covered with anything). The stones in such furnaces are heated to a temperature of +200-+250C and this temperature is not enough to instantly transform water into light steam. The steam in steam rooms with such stoves is damp and heavy. In such steam rooms it is often uncomfortable - stuffy, headaches, fatigue, strain and even burns of the mucous membranes of the nasopharynx. Such stoves quickly overheat the steam room, bringing the temperature in it to +90- +120C. And this is no longer beneficial for our body. These sauna stoves are not able to stably maintain the temperature in the steam room +45- +60C, as in the Russian bathhouse. The high temperature of improper baths does not warm our body deeply, “to the bones,” but only produces superficial heating of the skin.

This is the sad picture I painted. Bath lovers en masse visit improper, sometimes unhealthy baths. Typical private buildings are growing like mushrooms, which are in vain called Russian baths, and in which mass stoves for baths are installed, which, despite the assurances of sellers and manufacturers, are not capable of creating a Russian bath regime. But many sauna lovers are beginning to understand that the sauna regimes in which they have to steam are not entirely comfortable and useful. Many people remember the same bathhouse in the village that they remember from childhood. They look for the same sensations in modern baths and do not find them. It is for such bathhouse lovers that I wrote an article about the Russian bathhouse. In it, I tried to tell you what a real Russian bathhouse is, how it differs from modern mass supposedly “Russian bathhouses”, about its microclimate, the unforgettable and pleasant sensations that it gives us. The article is intended for an inquisitive and unprepared reader who is looking for answers to questions about the Russian bathhouse. The article will also be useful for those who plan to build a Russian bathhouse on their own.

About the lining in the bathhouse

My girlfriends puzzled me with the question: “Why is the interior lining in a bathhouse called clapboard?” They probably thought that I wasn’t so familiar with lining...

And the lining got its name thanks to trains. It was train carriages that were first sheathed with thin boards, no more than 2 cm thick, and they were simply called lining.

The name is firmly attached to the building material, and now any internal lining is called lining.

About firewood that burns poorly

What can be done when the wood in the stove does not light well and it takes a long time to light the stove?

Damp, damp wood is difficult to light in a stove. If there is poor draft in the stove, it is not easy to get a fire. Fire needs air, without it there will be no fire dance.

Before heating the stove, you need to clean it, remove the ash from the ash pan and the firebox. Open the stove damper and vent wide. For wet firewood, a popular method is to generously sprinkle the firewood with coarse rock salt.

About the sauna stove damper and winter

There are bath attendants who do not heat their kingdom of heat and steam in winter. They live in the city, and come to the dacha only in spring, summer and autumn. In what form is it better to leave a sauna stove for the winter for such sauna owners?

It is better to leave stove valves open during the winter. The fact is that when you arrive at your property in the spring, you may not be able to light the bathhouse the first time. During a long, cold winter, the valve may freeze, so much so that it cannot be opened without a hammer.

If the bathhouse is not heated for a long time, the stove freezes, the bricks absorb moisture, and the bathhouse pipe inside becomes covered with a snowy fur coating mixed with soot.

It’s better if all this wet stuff just rolls down the chimney into the stove during the thaw, and doesn’t thaw and then freeze again on the stove valve during spring matinees.

Booklets

Booklets can be placed in nearby cafes, beauty salons, and shops on special stands. This way, more potential customers will know about your establishment. Please note that the print quality must be appropriate and the text must be concise.

Business cards

Business cards can be used as an alternative to leaflets and can be handed out on the street or dropped into mailboxes.

Advertising in magazines and newspapers

Use print media to post small announcements about your establishment's operations. When choosing such an advertising tool, you need to pay attention to the wide audience coverage and the correct reputation of the publication. Also, free distribution of a newspaper or magazine will be a big plus.

About linden

Linden is a wonderful tree - it is an excellent building material and wonderful brooms and excellent tubs, ladles with scoops. Is the expression “Linden Seal” somehow connected with this tree?

The connection is the most direct! Linden has long been used in wood carving; it lends itself well to processing and has pure white wood.

In the old days, scammers made fake royal and princely seals from linden. Complex ornate patterns could be easily cut from this wood, which is why the fakes are called “linden.”

Advertising a bath-sauna - Joomla Templates 3, 2.5. Joomla 2.5 and 3 extensions

Baths and saunas are a completely stable business and quite profitable. True, today competition in this area has intensified.

Revenue comes from visitors, and they can be attracted with the help of competent advertising. The sauna on Yaroslavka is an example of this.

Before you start an advertising campaign, you need to determine who it is addressed to. That is, accurately identify your potential clients - a group of people who need your services. This is necessary for the effectiveness of advertising, as well as understanding how to make customers regular visitors. What additional services and discounts to offer. Based on the type of clients you are going to attract, advertising methods will also be selected.

To ensure a sufficient number of customers, and, accordingly, profit, the following types of advertising are usually used:

1. Outdoor advertising (placing billboards, signs, banners. An expensive, but quite effective way to tell about your bathhouse establishment.

2. Advertisements in the media (newspapers, radio, television). Printed publications should be selected based on what kind of clients you plan to see in the establishment. Accordingly, understanding that the cost of advertising in city newspapers and specialized magazines differs significantly.

3. Distribution of all kinds of leaflets, flyers, posting advertisements, etc.

4. Working with clients, motivating them to spread positive information about the services of your establishment among friends and acquaintances.

However, these methods are no longer sufficient today. To attract customers, you need to use more modern advertising methods. Advertising a sauna on the Internet is one of the most effective ways of promotion.

Advertising on the Internet is divided into several types:

Contextual advertising. It allows you to attract a large number of customers from different search sites (Google, Yandex, etc.). This advertisement will be shown in text form only. Advertising for a sauna will be seen only by those Internet users who have written queries in a search engine related to the topic of bath-sauna directly or indirectly.

Website promotion . With proper promotion of your sauna website, you will receive a large number of visitors to your establishment’s website.

Sauna advertising in text and graphic format on specialized Internet resources (sauna.ru, etc.). Advertising a sauna of this kind will allow a possible client to see a description of the sauna bath, a photo and find out contact information.

To achieve the greatest effect, it is advisable to use all Internet advertising tools. And then people, having received complete information about the services and learned how much your sauna costs for an hour, will definitely come to you, and then it will depend on you whether they will become regular customers.

About red brick

When we were rebuilding the stove in the bathhouse, the stove maker, among other things, asked us for an old bathtub with water in order to soak the bricks!

For what? After all, these are not laundry, these are bricks! And then they scolded me like a schoolgirl...

Brick absorbs moisture. If its internal cavities are filled with liquid, it will reduce its absorbency. The kiln mortar will penetrate into the brick cavity more slowly and be distributed more evenly. Dry brick will quickly absorb the liquid part of the mortar and the mixture will not be enough to adhere the brickwork.

Outdoor advertising

Signposts

A sign is an auxiliary advertising tool for your establishment. Place it on a busy pedestrian street so that information about your bathhouse can be seen by as many people as possible. There is no need to overload the attention of potential clients; a name, address, telephone number and, for example, short information about the cost of one visit are enough.

Advertising in elevators

Advertising in elevators should also be concise, because a person should have time to read it while traveling to his floor. It is best to talk about a unique offer or a sought-after service, not forgetting to indicate the name, address and telephone number. Such advertising is relevant only in those apartment buildings that are located within walking distance from your establishment.

Signposts

The index is another auxiliary tool for promoting the services of your bathhouse. Place a sign at a public transport stop that is located near your establishment. An arrow indicating the direction, address, telephone number and name of your establishment will be enough.

About the eternal stone

My friends built a bathhouse. Everything is based on the latest technologies, everything is the best... When the choice of the stone heart of the furnace began, they decided to lay an eternal stone.

Jadeite is a stone with high tensile strength that practically does not absorb water. It does not split and does not shoot small fragments when using water on the heater.

This is a very beautiful and very expensive stone. In our native Arkhangelsk, my friends were never able to find a good quality stone, so they had to go to Moscow.

How to increase revenue in a sauna

How to promote a sauna so that it quickly pays for itself and generates a stable income is the first question that usually arises after the grand opening of the enterprise. However, in fact, you need to start thinking about this at the stage of business planning and premises design.

The success of a sauna depends not least on its location and the presence of an appropriate target audience. For example, visitors to a sports club, even on the outskirts, are much more willing to stop by for a steam bath after a workout than just random passers-by, even in the central part of the village. At the same time, the sauna should be located so that it is convenient to get to it by both personal and public transport. Comfort, inviting interior and, of course, high quality services - all these are indirect factors influencing the popularity of a bathhouse establishment.

You can promote your sauna in several ways, which, depending on the situation, are used individually or in combination. At the initial stage of work, it is advisable to set attractive prices that will captivate the first visitors with their affordability, but will not make them doubt the quality of the service. A more complex path that, if positioned correctly, guarantees success - original services or features that competitors cannot offer. However, all the useful actions listed above will not bring the desired result as long as no one knows about them.

Properly advertising a sauna means getting maximum response with minimal investment. An effective way to attract visitors at all times has been positive reviews from those who have already used the service. To do this, you only need to let as many people as possible know about the sauna, that is, find an effective communication channel.

To inform potential visitors about the existence of the sauna and the services offered, you can use traditional advertising media - media, street advertising structures (banners, billboards, posters), transport, advertising printing (flyers, booklets, posters). To increase recognition and gain popularity, it is advisable to organize promotions, presentations, and provide premises for various events of other companies. All these advertising methods are effective, however, in most cases, they require significant financial investments.

At the moment, the Internet is becoming one of the most promising advertising media, with an audience of millions of users. Surely among them there are many who are looking for bathhouse establishments in your locality. You can provide potential visitors with comprehensive information about your sauna by placing advertisements in the largest directory of saunas in Russia, hots.ru.

About shelves, deck chairs and benches

Do softwood trees make good benches and shelves?

Almost all conifers boast resin pockets and shells. Hot resin can burn and stain your body. It is better not to make shelves from pine or spruce.

The best option for such construction is soft, durable wood - linden, alder, aspen, thuja, Siberian cedar.

About Pele's Hair

Why is modern stone wool insulation also called “Pele’s Hair”?

After a volcanic eruption in Hawaii, when the lava cooled, long, strong threads were found. The fragile volcanic fiber was named Pele's Hair. In Hawaiian mythology, the goddess of fire and volcanoes is called Pele.

People have borrowed from nature the technology for producing modern insulation, which is 95% stone. This is how stone wool turned out.

In the old days, were rituals performed in a bathhouse before a wedding?

Before the wedding, the bathhouse was heated for two days. In order for the union of the newlyweds to become strong and the relationship to glow with passion, a ritual of uniting earthly and heavenly forces was performed in the bathhouse. Such unity could only take place if the bathhouse was heated with special firewood.

The tree must have been struck by lightning. Only such a tree was suitable for the ritual of a strong marriage and passionate relationships.
