The valve is connected to the same circuit as the draft meter. When this draft disappears or is weakened excessively, the heated sensor opens the circuit, thereby stopping the power supply to the electromagnet and the passage of gas to the burner.

The heat exchanger, naturally, is the most important part of the geyser, since it is in it that the water is heated, and it occupies the main volume of the device.

The heat exchanger can be made of steel or copper. A copper unit is considered the best because it is not subject to corrosion and is therefore more durable. In Neva 3208 columns it is made only from pure copper.

Most often, replacement of this part of the column is required due to the formation of a large layer of scale inside it, which reduces the efficiency of the unit. To extend the life of the heat exchanger, you should not set the hot water temperature to the maximum, since only when the water boils does a layer of scale form. If replacement of this unit is required, such spare parts are always available at the service center.

Gas-burner

The main gas burner is located at the bottom of the column under the heat exchanger circuit, and is clearly visible through the viewing window. It is this device that quickly heats the water in the heat exchanger to the desired temperature.

Water and gas units

The water unit, like the gas unit, is responsible for regulating the supply of fuel and water to the main gas burner and heat exchanger.

In more modern models, such spare parts may not appear, since there these units are combined into a water-gas unit.

Safety

No less important than the heat exchanger is the safety group.

It includes:

  • thermocouple
  • solenoid valve
  • overheat sensors
  • other devices responsible for the safe operation of the gas water heater.

If the flame on the main burner or igniter goes out, one of these devices will instantly shut off the gas supply. Also, special devices block the access of gas if there is not enough draft in the chimney or cold water does not flow into the heat exchanger.

Eyeliners

To supply gas and water, special supply hoses are required. Modern products are flexible bellows hoses. On the outside, they are braided with a metal spiral made of stainless steel and equipped with fittings with a threaded connection made of brass, fittings and gaskets.

Such eyeliners are highly resistant:

  • to thermal expansion;
  • reduction in diameter;
  • lateral compression;
  • breaks at the ends.

In addition, the use of flexible connections reduces the risk of problems during inaccurate installation, and also allows you to quickly and reliably connect the column to the water supply system and gas mains.

Air duct

When gas burns, various products, soot and soot are invariably released, which must be removed outside the premises. For this purpose, air ducts made of aluminum laminated foil are used. It has several layers and a steel spring to maintain the geometric shape of the corrugated sleeve.

Since the temperature of the exhaust gases is at least +110 degrees, the chimney can only be made of metal. Depending on the outlet diameter, the diameter of the flexible air duct is also selected. The maximum length of such a structure can reach 3 meters.

Assistive devices

The Neva 3208 column uses piezo ignition as ignition. It works thanks to two batteries that do not contain harmful components such as mercury or cadmium. Therefore, it is an environmentally friendly device.

The information display allows you to see the set water heating temperature. And the timer makes it possible to set the heating mode to the desired parameters.

Various modifications of geysers may have a coaxial chimney and a closed combustion chamber equipped with a fan to supply air to the burner.

Options for breakdowns and solutions Any repair work is carried out with the gas and water taps turned off. For further repairs it is necessary to remove the casing. To do this, you need to pull the gas control knob, secured to the rod with a spring. It is also important to remove the two screws holding the casing in place. Possible reasons why the Neva 3208 gas water heater does not light up: 1. No traction. When metal-plastic windows are installed, the supply of fresh air into the room is limited. Perhaps this is what is causing the breakdown. Since the draft is disrupted, the water heater overheats. Accordingly, the protective mechanism is triggered. To solve the problem, it is enough to ventilate the room for 10 minutes. After this, the device can be put into operation.

2. Also, a violation of draft can occur when foreign objects or soot get into the ventilation duct. This is checked using a piece of paper or newspaper. When applied to the vent it should stick to the grille. If there really is no traction, you need to call a specialist to clean it.

3. Damage to the water unit. To check this malfunction, it is necessary to measure the flow power entering and exiting the column. If the speed drops significantly, then there is a possibility that the filters are clogged. To eliminate it, you need to unscrew the nut near the water supply, remove it into the water filter and clean it. If this does not solve the problem, you need to inspect the membrane. It is located inside the water tank and can be reached by removing the lid. If it becomes dirty, it can be cleaned; if the membrane is damaged or deformed, a new one must be installed.

4. The gas burner is dirty. It is prohibited to clean the gas burner yourself. You can only remove soot from the jets yourself using a metal brush. After finishing work, be sure to check that there are no gas leaks.

5. The gas supply valve is closed. The device does not heat the water well. This problem occurs when a large amount of scale forms inside the heat exchanger. The flow of water is disrupted, which worsens the heat exchange process and increases gas consumption. The main reason for the appearance of scale is too hard water supplied to the system, as well as too high water heating temperature. In order to remove scale, it is recommended to use chemical reagents sold in specialized stores. To save money, or if it is impossible to get the components, you can use a solution of citric acid. In this case, 200 g of powder is diluted in 900 ml of hot water. The heat exchanger is flushed using a special device. It connects to the heat exchanger tubes and supplies the solution, freeing it from dirt and scale. If you don’t have such a device, you can soak the heat exchanger in a large tank. Using a funnel, pour the solution inside and boil for 30 minutes. Then leave for 90 minutes and rinse with running water. After that you can mount everything back. The next unit that needs to be checked is the heat exchanger. It is completely covered in scale, and it should be washed with 10% acetic acid. Also pay attention to where it connects to the outlet pipe. Scale flakes collect well there. Disassemble all components sequentially, starting from the water inlet and moving towards the taps. How to turn on the device In order to turn on the Neva 3208 geyser, you need to switch it to standby mode using a mechanical regulator. In this mode, gas is supplied to the pilot burner through a special pipe. After this, you must press the solenoid valve button. The gas begins to move through the copper pipe through the solenoid valve and enters the gas unit. From there it moves to the ignition burner, where it mixes with air to form a gas-air mixture. It is this mixture that is ignited using piezo ignition. Once the flame appears, it heats the thermocouple, which produces an EDC, which allows the solenoid valve to be held open. The thermocouple heating time is 10 seconds, so it is important to hold the button for at least this time. Afterwards a flame appears and you can open the water valve. Water flows through a special copper tube to the water unit. A tension is created in the membrane cavity, which puts pressure on the burner with the rod. The rod begins to act on the gas valve, and it needs to overcome the resistance of the return spring. The valve on the gas unit opens. The gas begins to attack the manifold and is distributed throughout the gas burner, evenly entering each nozzle and burner section. There it is ignited using a pilot flame. The burner flame heats a copper heat exchanger through which cold water passes. It is in this unit that the water is heated. Exhaust gases are discharged from the device into a specially equipped chimney. Sensors and parameters controlled by them Presence of pilot flame. If this flame goes out for any reason, the gas supply is cut off. Control of water flow through the water unit. If the water flow stops, the column turns off the gas supply to the main burner, while the flame remains on the burner igniter. Presence of traction. If the chimney becomes clogged, the exhaust gases are not released into the atmosphere, but enter the room. A special sensor detects the accumulation of exhaust gases in the ignition group and turns off the gas supply. The temperature of the passing water is adjusted using a special knob that controls the gas pressure supplied to the burner. If less gas is supplied, the flame becomes lower and the water becomes colder. In order to turn off the gas burner, you must perform the following steps: 1. Turn off the water tap. 2. Install the relay in the column off position. 3. Turn off the gas supply valve. 4. Close the cold water supply valve. This device is highly durable and reliable; if used correctly, it will serve for a very long time. The low price is also a plus. But at the same time, it is important to take into account that its productivity is low, and therefore it is not capable of working at two water points. If a water heater breaks down, finding spare parts is difficult. However, breakdowns happen regularly.

As soon as the flame ignites, it begins to heat the thermocouple, which, when heated, produces a CDS, with the help of which the solenoid valve is held.

Ksenia We needed an inexpensive water heater from a well-known manufacturer, so my husband and I decided to opt for the Neva 4511 gas water heater. It works quite easily with two taps, providing consumers with enough hot water. True, when opening the second tap, the heating temperature changes slightly, but this is easily corrected with the help of a mixer. Therefore, this behavior is not a disadvantage. There is a small display on the front panel that shows the temperature of the hot water. There are two knobs nearby to regulate the temperature. Just above there is a small peephole to control the combustion of gas. But the design of the speaker is as if it was cut out of a single piece of iron with an ax - a mere rectangle. But it is quite reliable, although it is not without certain drawbacks.

Advantages:

  • Heats water quickly, no need to wait long for heating after switching on;
  • Quite affordable price; analogues from imported brands are more expensive;
  • For three years there has been no leakage, which indicates the reliability of the assembly and heat exchanger;
  • Convenient temperature and pressure adjustment.

Flaws:

  • Sometimes the gas does not ignite immediately, but after a few seconds, which causes a strong bang;
  • When overheated, it begins to make noise, like a roaring engine at high speeds. The noise appears already after +50 degrees;
  • Very thin body. Not a very important flaw, but still somehow undignified. Although now all equipment is made in such cases, even washing machines.
